I'm a Mormon

I'm a Mormon.

No I do not have horns.

But I do belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I have a strong testimony of this church and this gospel.  We are Christians.  Everything we believe is centered around Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice for us. We read the Book of Mormon, alongside the Bible.  We believe both support each other, and you cannot have one without the other.  Although, we do believe that the Book of Mormon is "the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts than by any other book. We believe that Joseph Smith restored the gospel to this earth and was a Prophet. We believe in modern day revelation. We have a current prophet that receives this revelation.  We also believe in personal revelation.  God can speak and communicate directly to us.  We also believe in the Holy Ghost.  We believe in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, but we believe them to be three separate beings.  We believe in the plan of salvation, or as many call it, the plan of happiness.  Through this merciful plan, anyone can in any circumstance can make it to the highest degree of glory.  We believe that we will be reunited and live with our families again one day.  We believe that all children that pass away before the age of accountability automatically go to Heaven.  Our religion is focused on family.  In fact, the church and gospel both work together to support the family - the most important unit in the world!  Our church also houses the largest women's program in the world - the Relief Society.  They work to provide relief to those near them and around the world.  We focus on service.  We focus on faith. We focus on forgiveness.  We focus on bettering ourselves.  But we are not perfect.  "Hate the sin, not the sinner."  If you have ever come across anyone of our faith that has offended you, please remember that we are not perfect, we are human, and it does not reflect on our gospel values.
